Everybody meet Mr Gary Leslie... The Flying Scotsman! This legend has been experiencing the thrill of freefall and raising money for charities close to his heart, by skydiving at four of our spectacular locations on Australia's east coast. Following a diagnosis of cancer early last year, Gary has endured grueling chemotherapy and radiotherapy and celebrated no signs of active disease with a month long trip to visit family in Australia.
While visiting, he embarked on his 4x4 Challenge: four weeks, four skydives from 14,000ft, to raise £4,000 for four different charities. Gary certainly got his knees (and other things) in the breeze jumping in his kilt all four times. Smashing his target of £4,000 he is currently sitting at £9,792...AMAZING!
We're pretty jealous of the Gary's epic east coast skydive road trip, not so jealous of the kilt though. Freefall would be rather, errrm, breezy.. If you think that skydiving could help you smash your fundraising records too, then let us know how we can help.
